Dahongpao - "Big Red Robe" oolong from “Meidong” tea farm (Wuyishan tea region, Fujian province).
In appearance: medium-sized, dark brown flagella of twisted tea leaves. The fragrance is deep, reminiscent of freshly baked pastry. The liquor is transparent, with a dark amber shade.
The bouquet of the tea broth is warm with smoky, spicy, pastry-like, roasted and fruity nuances. The aroma is deep and warming. The taste is soft, oily, slightly spicy, with light minerality, fine fruity acerbity and a refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (98°С) in a porcelain gaiwan, in a teapot of porous clay or a thermos. The proportion for pin-cha style brewing is 6-8 g per 100 ml. Rinse the tea with hot water and do a first infusion of about 3-6 seconds. After that do short 2-3 second infusions, increasing steeping time subsequently, to taste. You can brew this tea up to 5 times.
The effect is warming, moderately toning, even relaxing – when lightly brewed.
