紫鹃生茶 (Zi Juan Sheng Cha) is a type of raw Pu-erh tea made from a unique variety of tea leaves known as "Zi Juan," which means "Purple Beauty." This tea variety is distinct because the leaves have a natural purple hue, which comes from a higher concentration of anthocyanins, a type of antioxidant.

Being a "Sheng Cha" or raw Pu-erh, the tea undergoes minimal processing and is usually aged over time, allowing its flavor profile to develop. The taste of Zi Juan Sheng Cha can be quite distinctive, often described as more floral, with a slight bitterness that mellows with aging. The purple color of the leaves also gives the brewed tea a unique appearance, often with a reddish or purplish tint. This tea is prized for its health benefits and its rarity, as the purple tea variety is not as commonly cultivated as other types of Pu-erh tea.

    Cultivation and Harvest
Grown at an altitude between 500 and 800 meters, it is hand-picked during the spring harvest, following the standard of one bud with one or two leaves. The production process includes withering, pan-firing, shaping, and drying, preserving the tea's vibrant green hue and elegant form.
    Preparation and Flavor
This tea brews into a clear, bright infusion with a sweet, refreshing taste and a lingering floral aroma. Revered for its "fresh and smooth" character, Liping Sparrow Tongue offers a gentle and satisfying experience, making it a favorite among green tea enthusiasts.
    Benefits
Rich in polyphenols, catechins, and amino acids, Liping Sparrow Tongue tea supports health by promoting digestion, boosting metabolism, and providing antioxidants. For the best flavor, brew with water at 80°C to allow the leaves to unfurl and release their delicate essence.
