This is a very rare white tea produced in Zhangping County, Fujian Province — a region best known for its Zhangping Shuixian oolong. Unlike the traditional oolong, this tea is made from the same Shuixian cultivar but processed entirely as white tea. The material comes from an ecological tea garden in Dayong Mountain, where no fertilizers are used and the bushes are grown under sustainable agricultural practices.
The tea is hand-picked in early spring from naturally grown plants at high elevation. Fresh leaves are processed using the classical white-tea method: gentle sun-withering followed by slow indoor drying. This minimal-intervention approach preserves the natural aromas and the clean structure of the Shuixian leaf, giving the tea a character distinct from both standard white tea and the region’s oolong tradition.
The dry leaves are thick, soft, and covered with fine silvery hairs. The liquor is pale golden, with a calm and steady taste. Light floral and woody notes appear, followed by a mild sweetness typical of naturally grown material. The flavor is smooth, with a persistent and clear aftertaste. As an experimental production from Shuixian material, it presents a rare expression of Zhangping terroir in white-tea form.
