Roasted Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong

Tie Guan Yin, originating from Xiangping Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province, is a historic oolong tea first developed during the Qing Dynasty (1723–1735). This roasted version is known for its comforting toasted aroma and its ability to bring a warm depth to every sip. Unlike its lighter counterparts, this tea offers a more robust and satisfying experience.

The tea grows at altitudes of 750–900 meters, where the cool mountain air and rich soil create optimal conditions for cultivation. It is hand-harvested twice a year, during late April to early May and late September to early October. Adhering to a traditional production process, the leaves undergo steps like withering, rolling, and meticulous roasting. The careful roasting process enhances the tea’s signature flavor while preserving its natural freshness.

When brewed, roasted Tie Guan Yin releases a golden-amber liquor with a balanced taste that combines soft floral notes with a toasty, nutty undertone. Each infusion reveals subtle changes in flavor, making it ideal for enjoying over multiple steepings. Its full-bodied profile makes it a versatile choice for moments of relaxation or focus.

This tea is naturally rich in antioxidants, including tea polyphenols and catechins, which promote digestion and overall well-being. Brew it with boiling water (100°C), allowing the tightly curled leaves to fully unfurl and develop their complete flavor profile over successive infusions.

    Cultivation and Harvest
Grown at an altitude between 500 and 800 meters, it is hand-picked during the spring harvest, following the standard of one bud with one or two leaves. The production process includes withering, pan-firing, shaping, and drying, preserving the tea's vibrant green hue and elegant form.
    Preparation and Flavor
This tea brews into a clear, bright infusion with a sweet, refreshing taste and a lingering floral aroma. Revered for its "fresh and smooth" character, Liping Sparrow Tongue offers a gentle and satisfying experience, making it a favorite among green tea enthusiasts.
    Benefits
Rich in polyphenols, catechins, and amino acids, Liping Sparrow Tongue tea supports health by promoting digestion, boosting metabolism, and providing antioxidants. For the best flavor, brew with water at 80°C to allow the leaves to unfurl and release their delicate essence.
